WHAT IS DEAR CAMP
Dear Camp is not simply just a place, but a feeling. A gathering home to create memories, build new relationships, strengthen relationships, experience new adventures and simply relax. Dear Camp is “plane” good for the soul.
Life has taken us down many different (some very trying) paths to land us where we are today. We longed for place to call home in an area that we love! Fate has landed us here, Dear Camp. Dear Camp started out as much smaller vision, a vision really only meant for us and a few close family members and friends. We bought our home from a guy that has opened our eyes and shared his dream which has really lined up with my wife’s vision of what it is becoming today. Dear Camp got it’s name from one of my friends making a comment to my lovely wife about no women being allowed at “deer camp”. Little did he know Dear Camp was born, and yes, my wife is invited, but she graciously declines. Our home has had such an impact on us we can’t even describe, we have meant new friends who have become a huge part of our lives, we have experience new adventures we never dreamed of, and we have grown closer as a couple. Our hope is that others can experience this at least once in their lives. What we have been blessed with is far greater than a home, it’s been more about the relationships and memories that has made all the long days and sacrifices worth every minute of our journey! – Travis
